Discover Israel – UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey (UJANNJ)

A specially-designed IsraelExperts program, run with the UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey, this fantastic tour of Israel includes program components with UJANNJ’s twin community of Nahariya (located in the North near the Lebanon border) as well as a special emphasis on Israel's cultural diversity.

While traveling with the UJANNJ bus, you will experience many unique encounters especially designed for our bus including a visit to a real Israeli army base and a chance to meet soldiers who fought in the Second Lebanon War. We will visit the border town of Nahariya where we will be treated to an Israeli dinner in the homes of Israelis. Our partners from Nahariya can also arrange for us to meet with Miki Goldwasser, the mother of one of the three abducted Israeli soldiers from the Second Lebanon War who still remain in captivity.

This trip is designed for residents (or children of residents) and college students who live in the Northern New Jersey catchment area (includes part of Passaic County, Bergen County, and Northern Hudson County) who want to travel with friends they grew up with, or college students from our local colleges including Ramapo College, William Paterson University, Bergen Community College, and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
