Discover Israel – Capital To Capital with AIPAC

Relations between the United States and Israel date back to Israel's reappearance on the world stage in 1948, and are deeply rooted in the two countries' shared values of democracy, freedom and justice. Taglit-Birthright Israel IsraelExperts AIPAC program is specifically designed for Jewish political activists – young Jewish adults who are significantly involved in the American political process, who have not previously traveled to Israel on a peer educational trip. The program creates a nexus between the participants’ political and Jewish identities by fusing their experience in American politics with their first formal experience with the Jewish State. Through meetings with key figures in Israel - from politicians and military experts, to journalists, academics and student leaders – participants will gain a better understanding of the chain of historical events that have shaped the Jewish State, the complexity of the challenges facing Israel today, and the future of the U.S.-Israel relationship.
